AFTER WORDS

ISABELLA SOUPART | CHAPELLE | 20.30 | 25'
March 18 - 19, 2015
brigittines.be

Taking as a starting point a conversation between journalist Claire Parnet and the philosopher Gilles Deleuze, After Words adopts the construction of a theatrical documentary that combines pop philosophy, dance and video art, an almost cubist accumulation of points of view, of alternative scenarios.
Two performers and a musician are invited to build bridges, to develop a common ground for experiences. They move, clash, glide from one situation to another, tell a story as much as they embody it. Isabella Soupart questions the notions of boundary, territory, and animality, drawing from the field of conceptual art of Fluxus in particular.
After Words is a live version of the film Words which will be screened in the lobby as a preamble to the show.
